I work as the lead instructor for a coding program in Memphis. I introduce young adults to software development using the web technologies then the Node, and .NET stacks. I have 10 years experience as a developer and have done full stack work for a variety of clients including the US Army, Sedgwick, Shelby County Schools, and numerous other freelance projects.

My work at CodeSchool has stood up a completely in house software development curriculum that saved $100k/year expense for outside curriculum. I've also advocated and initiated Open Source software development as a way to generate support and consistent development exposure to the students and community at large.

At CodeCrew, I established the curriculum for our adult engineering program. The program spans several areas across multiple courses, including: Full Stack Software Engineering, Database Administration, Project Management, Cloud Solutions, Machine Learning, AI Integrated Application Development, and CyberSecurity. A variety of languages, programs, and platforms are used including Node.js, .NET, SQL and NoSQL, HuggingFace, Ollama, Azure, and more.

I've worked across a variety of industries as a software engineer supporting smaller companies and customers to provide an affordable, but robust solution.

My more corporate roles have been all over the stack, supporting any and every issue an app could face: UI bugs, implementing new features, correcting server configurations, maintaining the application by running routine app, db, and/or server maintenance, and setting up and monitoring CRON jobs.

Notable contributions to these roles include:

• Supported the user-base of legacy .NET MVC apps while making upgrades to UI and web services connections to improve application usability and stay compliant with military standards.
• Implemented a user dashboard with Javascript (jQuery) library Chart.JS for various reporting widgets.
• Rebuilt the frontend and backend for a key business tool that utilized a flow chart and interactive question tree
• Refactored the old web service based domain layer functionality to create a new and more organized internal and external API with Web API
• Regularly participated in bi-weekly Sprint Planning with daily Standups, code and bug Documentation, and usability Testing
• Updated .NET Web Forms and .NET MVC applications to .NET 4.5
• Worked with updating the client side of projects, including jQuery and Bootstrap plugins, while maintaining compatibility with IE9.
• Migrated Oracle databases to SQL Server and utilized Entity Framework and LINQ in related .NET and SQL applications

• Extended an existing API for First Responders to log and pull Emergency data by cutting future server usage thru saving PDF data as base64 strings in a database and by updating API calls to pull from PDF data from legacy file servers.
