Unity developer specializing in VR with 5+ years experience

I'm a multi-degreed Unity programmer specializing in 3D-art and VR game development. Most of my time is spend developing my own VR music/fitness game (fulltime), so I have lots of time flexibility, and experience with the most recent (non-beta) version of the engine. I've extensively written code to extend and interface with most all of unity's core systems, and take great care to document and extensively profile everything I develop. I've learned most unity's bottlenecks, and have learned how to efficiently code around them.

I'm very active on the Unity VR forums and regularly report new bugs, some of which have become the most upvoted with the Unity VR bug tracker in the past couple years.

I'm interested in supplemental consulting or tutoring work mostly: in helping clients 1-on-1 with specific problems, general design consulting, or code reviews especially. *Taking on longer term contract work prototyping your MVPs for you is generally beyond the time commitments I want to make at this time.

Fulltime VR game developer with 3 multi-year fulltime projects under my belt. I've also developed educational apps for Android and WebGL. I'm generally skilled at a basic to intermediary level in most 3D asset development skills (modeling / texturing / layout / animation / composition (photography, drawing) / pipeline scripting), and have a full associates in 3D animation tech (Games + VFX) -- please note my most practiced skill is programming.

Used for 4 years in college, and used on and off for small projects / occasionally writing Blender addons since then. I'm not the most up to date on new aspects of the language, but I've been reading and writing code in it since the 5th grade.

I'm familiar with the strengths and limitations of most database designs, and can provide rough guidance on what's a good and bad idea to do for different use cases, and how to deal with scaling issues. I've developed the backends for several apps, but I don't consider this work all that fun, or my forte.

I've spent at least a couple years learning the in an outs of Blender since 2012 (mostly pre version 2.8 -- note my "2 years" estimate is spread over a decade). I've had several long term (6-12+ month full time projects under by belt; where the majority of the work was in blender). I've made multi-minute animations (solo projects), and probably know how to go about most intermediate level tasks. I've coded several plugin like toolsets, mostly for my own use and workflow improvements. I'm not familiar with coding for all parts of the engine, but know enough to be able to figure out how it should be done.

Leet-Bone-Tools
This is blender add-on to make animating sets of bones on a character easier. This tool's primary use is to make saved (cached) selections on a per armature basis. It also contains some tools to add, delete, and reset key-frames for selected bones on the current frame. This blender add-on only runs in pose mode. Selections are saved in an auxiliary text file in the same directory as the blend file. New bone selections are created in the tool's 3d-view panel. To access this toolset’s pie menu hold control and click in a 3d-view while in pose mode.

Number DNA is a online math education platform developed by two veteran high-school and college math teachers. Collaborating with them about design, I spent around 220 hours over five months developing and coding this alternative version of their math training tool in Unity Game Engine from scratch.
