Shipstock offers fulfillment and delivery services for e-commerce vendors in Kenya. I was the lead engineer on the following projects:

• Inventory and order management portal for our customers. A stripped-down demo of this portal can be found at https://shipstock-demo.ckmetto.com. The main tools used are TypeScript, React, Next.js, and NX.
• Internal fulfillment portal which included inventory, order, and customer management tools. (TypeScript, React, Next.js, NX)
• Shopify and WooCommerce integrations via their REST APIs. (TypeScript, Node.js, Express)
• Data analysis (Python)

My team managed OpenStack and Kubernetes deployments for customers around the world. My duties were:

• Contribution to open-source tools used by my team. These were mainly Canonical’s Juju Charms written in Python. A few examples:
• - [charm-helpers] Utilities for configuring deferred restarts NRPE checks
• - [charm-helpers] Support HAProxy https health checks
• - [charm-ceph-radosgw] Enable HAProxy HTTP Health Checks
• Deploying and validating new OpenStack and Kubernetes installations.
• Planning and executing Ubuntu and OpenStack component upgrades.
• On-call rotations to address incidents flagged by customers or our monitoring systems.

Duara was an OpenStack-based cloud computing platform meant for latency-sensitive applications targeting East African users. My duties were:

• Design and deployment of the environment’s network infrastructure.
• Design, deployment, configuration and validation of OpenStack’s services.
