Senior Software Engineer at Meela, a six-engineer team building an AI voice companion for seniors. Flat structure, everyone ships features end-to-end, from idea to GCP deployment.
I worked across the whole conversational pipeline: speech-to-text, GPT-4 family models (Flash for fast stuff, bigger models for deeper conversations), and text-to-speech, all wired together into something that actually feels like talking to a person. Lots of prompt tinkering and figuring out which model to use where so the whole thing stays snappy.
Built the voice ticketing system — users just talk to create and follow up on support tickets. The LLM pulls out the details (what's the issue, how urgent, where does it go) and routes it. Hooked it up to Yardi so tickets could flow between both systems without anyone copy-pasting.
Ran all LLM observability through Langfuse. Traced every call, tracked tokens and latency, collected feedback, and built dashboards for cost and quality. The point was always closing the loop: spot something off in the data, fix the prompt or swap the model, watch it get better. No dogmatic monitoring for the fun of it.
Set up RAG pipelines by embedding our knowledge base and building search that returns the right info fast enough for a voice conversation — important when you're dealing with meds and appointments where wrong answers actually matter.
Shipped everything on GCP: Cloud Run for services, Cloud Functions for event-driven bits, Workflows for longer pipelines, Cloud Storage for audio. Helped set up the team's LLM testing practices (prompt evals, regression checks, safe rollouts). Did on-call too when the voice platform needed it.
