Full-stack Engineer with over a decade experience in various fields.

I am a Software Engineer of 10+ years, with an MSc in Advanced Software Engineering and a PhD in Gamification. I have worked on various software projects in different industries from operation control centre software for airlines, risk management system for banks, and most recently an AI-powered mobile app that can tell the emotions of a non-verbal individual only through their sounds.

I have primarily worked with JavaScript/TypeScript, and Python during this time with the primary language depending on the project and the best fit between the language and the requirements. My framework experience is React and React Native on the JS/TS side and PyTorch and Tensorflow on the Python side.

My experiences of working in varying team sizes of just two developers to 16 in companies with varying degrees of resource availabilities have taught me to always look for a balance between resource cost and the expected benefit of an engineering solution. I also had the opportunity to work with all levels of stakeholders, with vastly different software and IT experience, which helped me hone my communication skills.

My position at Merit Risk revolved around creating B2B SaaS products based on existing financial risk models developed in-house by the finance team. We built multiple products with high levels of automation on both the data-gathering aspect of the products and the CI/CD aspect of all our projects.

My latest position at seamlessCARE was as the founding engineer. I was the first technical team member, so I personally built multiple systems for multiple products, hired and trained the team, devised product roadmaps, managed the team as a hands-on engineer, and executed the roadmaps. We ran a pretty lean team and built multiple products, mobile applications, AI models, client panels, and admin dashboards.

The customers include ICBC, BVD, JBIC, Coca-Cola Company, Akbank, Ziraat Bankası, Garanti Portföy. Accomplishments - Hired, trained and managed Merit Risk's software development team. - Devised an automated and high velocity plan for iterating on the risk models based on the continuous flow of data, which became a critical differentiating factor that allowed Merit Risk acquire some of the largest banks in Turkey as clients. - Developed the backend and infrastructure for the SaaS product suite used for the assessment and reporting of various financial risks, which are still being used by both national and multinational organisations. This was achieved using Node.js, Java, and AWS. - Improved the previously developed financial indicator collection system to gather thousands of financial indicators from over 20 data sources in a fully automated manner to quickly integrate newly released data from organisations such as the IMF, OECD, and World Bank. The functions were coded in Node.js and Java and deployed on AWS. - Developed various machine learning models using TensorFlow for interpolation of missing macroeconomic data in the datasets used by the models. - Developed and deployed APIs that allowed Merit Risk's customers to integrate the models seamlessly into their own systems.
