  • Developed the two Wordpress themes that are used for the company and over 500 client websites. This involved heavy use of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in order to create custom templates along with custom post types.
  • Updated live client sites to accommodate necessary modifications for their Wordpress webpage. Photoshop was used to properly optimize image assets for the web. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP was used to modify the code.
  • Used React.js to create the internal presentations that our Sales Team uses to pitch potential clients.
  • Used the Gatsby framework, which is built on React.js, along with GraphQL to develop our new company website. GraphQL was used to pull the standard and custom post type data from our previous Wordpress site using the REST API. Gatsby image was implemented to handle the lazy loading and optimizations of images.
  • Utilized Node.js and Express to create the email server used to handle our contact forms on the company page. Form field validation was implemented on the client-side and spam filtering was also put in place on the Node server.

Sunny Rain is a weather app that shows the current temperature and conditions based on a zip code that the user enters. This app fetches data from the OpenWeatherMap REST API and displays that information to the user. Validation is performed on the zip code that is entered in and unit tests were added with Jest to preserve the integrity of the app. React and Material UI were used to build this app, along with CSS3 and styled components for styling. As shown by the url, this site is hosted through Netlify and automatically builds and deploys on every push to the main branch on GitHub.
