First language I really loved. My go-to language for everything when I just feel like messing around, and when I need to rapidly build or prototype something. I enjoy the language to this day, and have worked extensively for years with Django, Flask, ORMs, building and consuming APIs, and so much more.

I use JS in just about everything that requires interactivity and simple user interfaces. Especially if page refreshes aren't wanted. I prefer to focus on the interactions, remote requests, and building thin, ignorant JS clients that defer to server backends for business logic and complex processes. I like to stay as close as possible to vanilla JS, with jQuery for DOM interactions, and don't really care for moving MVC patterns onto clients.

I primarily lean on jQuery for events, DOM manipulation, animation, and similar needs. In that respect, I work quickly. I occasionally need to consult the docs when dabbling with something unusual or beyond my typical usage. But as long as there are docs, I can handle just about anything.

HTML is a given with building web applications. Started playing with it 15 years ago. 9 years ago, I moved into professional work. I have a serious love/hate relationship with CSS. Hunting down browser inconsistencies is the most annoying and frustrating tasks web developers encounter.

I always use SQL databases for my work. I can think quickly with relationship scheme building, queries, etc. I don't exactly keep every part of SQL cached in my head as heavily as Python, JS, etc., but I can sit down to a problem, open docs when necessary, and move quickly to a solution.

I use Flask exclusively for my business and personal projects. I've dug deeply into its extension ecosystem at times to track down strange behaviors and bugs, and helped identify solutions. I build rather complex software on top of Flask, so I'm extremely comfortable with it, and have cached a decent amount of it in my head.

I spent 4 years using Django exclusively before I switched to using Flask 4 years ago.
