For over a decade I have worked with founders to go from a napkin sketch to blueprint to tested and deployed software. I love working with entrepreneurs and anyone with a scrappy, can-do attitude. I build web and mobile apps, databases, and communication systems. Vue.js and Flutter are my preferred frontend technologies. I like to understand the big picture of the business, and I will apply the technical knowledge I have to propose solutions. Boy, I've seen some nasty merges. But overall I've spent less time fighting git than any other source control system I've used. And it's saved my butt many times. My favorite trick is doing deploys using a post-receive hook. Takes a half hour to set up, and you'll never have to do another manual deploy. Git is a big topic and there's lots of nooks and crannies I haven't explored. But I can probably find a solution for most common issues.

My biz partner and I designed and architected the app, and I built the initial features and set standards for the first few months. We built everything from scratch: event logistics & planning, templates for interviewing a speaker & inspecting a venue, website builder, ticketing. Our customer made $30mil+ in their first few months of launch. We gradually handed off operations to an internal team.

I bought 12 desktop computers off ebay and turned them into a Kubernetes cluster. I set up MinIO, CockroachDB, MetalLB. I ran a prototype Node.js project on this hardware. Lots of lessons learned here in terms of maintenance of a Kubernetes cluster - overall I would recommend going with cloud solutions like GKE unless a company has a good reason to run their own hardware.
