My name is Tunde, and I'm an engineer, a nomad, a drummer, music enthusiast, tech nerd, app developer, black belt Kung-Fu student, longboarder, Nigerian-American, used-to-be dread-head and success story in the making. I work hard, play hard and you may find me anywhere in the world.

I began my computer vision experience developing experimental chess game tracking software to help with research that a professor of a university was performing. This involved anazlying video footage in realtime with and without markers (we experiemented with different approaches including using AR markers, color markers and no markers at all), calibration and hand motion detection and tracking. This project was OpenCV + C++ Eventually in the future I moved to working on facial recognition software towards the OpenBR project, specifically a project with the intention of using specific facial "landmarks" to improve facial recognition technology. This project was OpenCV + Python. Most recently, I worked on a 3D real-time hazard detection system with the intent to help prevent falls by senior citizens. This system involved many sensors (including a Microsoft Kinect v2, ambient light sensor and topology sensor) to help detect 3D spaces, separate detected objects, filter out noise and extraneous objects (like non-hallway walls) and analyze the potential for hazard given input of a particular patients illnesses and disabilities. The architecture was largely designed by me (including the complete computer vision architecture), the sensor fusion was implemented by me, as well as the majority of the computer vision code (filters and algorithms). This involved OpenCV + Python + Point Cloud Library (PCL) + Java.

BUILDERS WITH A PURPOSE The Renaissance Labs Cubit is a simulacrum originating from the ancient measure of length. From the Cubit, pyramids have been built, machines have been engineered, and societies have been enlightened. This, in turn, has always been with us. We believe the Cubit, which only the size of a forearm, combined with the mind can have an exponential impact on modern society. We, at Renaissance Labs, are a group of multidisciplinary builders that use the cubit as a metric for social impact.

Lead Computer Vision Engineer for now, patent-pending, 3D environmental hazard detection system. My work consisted of developing the majority of computer vision algorithms and filters, architecting and managing the architecture for the software and hardware, integrating sensors into software system, creating data capture testing harness for evaluating the system, and implementing the recommendation system.

A friend and I build the app "Channels" for Android and iOS (I build both frontends frontend while he focused on the backend using Haskell). The app serves as a sort of "bulletin board" for your local area, where users can create "channels" anonymously. These channels can be anything from topics to discuss, to products for sale, to events going on in their area. Other users can subscribe to these channels, chat about the topics and sometimes even navigate to the locations if they are shared by the creator of the channel. We built this app simply for fun and experience!
