INSS is Brazil’s federal agency responsible for administering social security benefits to over 36 million citizens, with a workforce of over 7,000 employees directly dedicated to analyzing and processing benefit claims.
Contributed to the design and development of Portal IN, an internal web platform built to centralize regulatory frameworks and technical guidelines within INSS. The platform supports social security entitlement recognition and decision-making processes.
As part of a cross-functional team of 6 professionals, I was responsible for architecting and implementing the platform’s front-end using Angular, HTML, and Bootstrap, ensuring accessibility and a responsive UI for thousands of internal users. Maintain and improve the platform, incorporating new features and regularly updating content to enhance user experience and facilitate searching and referencing regulations.
The platform achieved significant adoption among the target audience: 95% of surveyed INSS staff (1,057 participants) actively use Portal IN, with 76% accessing it at least three times per week. I also collaborated on the creation and update content of its digital library, enabling quicker access to technical documentation and training materials.
Recognition: The project received Honorable Mention at CONGEPS 2022 and was honored with the Good Practices Award by ISSA in 2023, underscoring its positive impact on public sector efficiency.
