Earth Observation using Python
The increasing number of satellites introduce a new era for scientists and organizations in Earth Observation field. Big Data related to oceans, atmosphere and land become freely available giving the potential for creating time-series datasets and developing applications, maps, Machine Learning pipelines et cetera. Python, as an easy to use programming language, is used for processing satellite data along with libraries such as GDAL, numpy, pandas, xarray.
Geospatial programming opens the door for designing and implementing applications such as Flood Monitoring, Fire Detection, Mapping of Burnt Areas, Crop Classification, Land Use Change et cetera.
