Create Your Website/Blog for $0.99/yr + $100 Gift

Hello guys.

Today, I'm going to teach you how to create your own website for the lowest price in the whole Internet. I will tell you how to buy your own .Com domain name and create a Wordpress website on your very own hosting. All of that for just $0.99 USD.

What would you need?

Basically, you will get all done with four easy and straight forward steps.

Step 1: Buy Domain Name

which is normally costs $14.99 per year. But don't worry, I got you a special offer to buy your own .com domain for $0.99 USD only.

Book your domain name for $0.99 only using the following link:

Then click "Check", and this will tell you if your chosen domain name is available or not. Keep trying until you find your perfect domain.

Advice, always pick a short names that are easy to remember.

Click on Add to cart, as you see it's for $0.99 for the first year 😉

Click Continue. You will get some offers from 1and1, but skip those for now and choose to continue with domain only.

They may add a small tax fees on your domain, but don't worry it should not exceed a total of $1.5 you will pay for domain + tax.

Continue the registration for your domain and let's go to the next step: Getting Hosting Server for Free 😄

Step 2: Hosting Plan

There are many service providers on the Internet that you can use for your website hosting. Such as GoDaddy, AWS or HostGator. But the minimum will charge you $80 USD for a year subscription, and you would need to pay them all year fees.

As usual, I got your back and brought you an offer from Digital Ocean. Use the following link to register a new account and it will be automatically credited with $100 USD balance.

Next, we will use this $100 to create our hosting droplet which will last 2 months.

Step 4: Creating Your Wordpress Droplet

So now we have a registered .com domain name with 1and1, and we have DigitalOcean account with $100 USD free credit. It's time to create the host server, aka Droplet.

Navigate to your DigitalOcean account and choose "Droplets" from left side menu, then "Create Droplet".

Click on "One-click apps" tab and choose "Wordpress on 16.04". Scroll down a little bit and choose the first droplet size option that costs $5 per month.

Scroll down and leave all other options as is, then hit on "Create".

Wait for a few seconds and you will find your new droplet with Wordpress installed is ready to be used.

Final step to complete the Wordpress installation is to access your droplet via command line. By this time, you will be receiving an email from DigitalOcean with your droplet IP address, username, and password.

Open your terminal, and type the following command:

ssh root@IP_Address

If you're prompted to continue, type yes.

Then enter your password that DigitalOcean sent you by email.

You will be asked to enter the password again, then a new password twice. Set your own password and hit enter.

Now you have Wordpress enabled. Navigate to your droplet IP address in your web browser:

http://ip_address

You will get the installation screen of Wordpress. Choose your preferred language and hit "Continue"

Then, fill in your website title, admin username, and choose a new password. You will need those to login to your admin panel in Wordpress and start adding your pages and website content.

Click on Install WordPress.

Now login to your WordPress admin panel. After successful login, you should land to a page like this:

As for now, you can create pages, menus and website content using your WordPress instance and navigate to your website using its IP address.

But for ease of use and to spread your website to your family, friends and users, you would need to link it to your .Com domain.

Step 5: Linking Your Domain Name

From your DigitalOcean left side menu, choose "Networking" and add your domain name here. In my case, I added Kouraa.com

Then, you will see the following screen, add @ value and make it point to your created WordPress Droplet. Then hit on "Create Record".

Now, navigate to your 1and1 account panel. Go to your domain NS settings and change the NS (NameSever) to the following values:

ns1.digitalocean.com
ns2.digitalocean.com
ns3.digitalocean.com

You should see a screen similar to the following, click on use custom name servers and enter the above values instead:

Changes might need up to few hours to take affect, but normally it should take few minutes.

Now, go to your web browser and navigate to your domain name. In my case, Kouraa.com

You should be able to see your WordPress website.

If you want to manage your WordPress, navigate to yourdomain.com/wp-admin and enter your username and password.
