Journey from SQL to NoSQL

I've been using databases for many many years and up until recently, one would never think about what type of database to use in a project. Relational databases have ruled the domain of data management for decades so it never was a question of whether or not to use a relational database. Depending on the project, one may have had to decide whether to use Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL or some other relational database but the final choice was always a relational database.

As the need for highly scalable and high performance databases increase, we're now in a position to decide what type of database would better fit the needs of our applications. In the following video, I'm sharing my experiences and what I've learned as I transitioned from relational to NoSQL -- in particular Document databases. I hope you find the information useful.
