Itisha (Software Developer)

I have been working as a Software Developer since 7 years. I had started my career with Dell International Services where I was working in POC of Maven as my project was the migration project in which we had to migrate from Maven 1 to Maven 2. I had developed many custom plugins to directly build and deploy the jar in the server.
I then switched to Cavisson Systems, which is a product based company. I had an amazing experience there. I had developed many features and products there, some of the products I had developed from scratch. I had even lead a team for many projects.
I had then switched to Wipro where I am getting a chance to work on Spring more.

In my experience, I have learned that if u want to achieve something, u have to work a lot. U need to take a step further if u wsnt to look different from others. U should not wait for the opportunity, but rather groom yourself so that opportunities come to u and u flourish. We should not confine ourselves to just do the work which we get, but rather think what best can be done in it and in which technology. As a developer, u have to always keep urself updated with all the new technologies and yes, ur data structure must be very good as most of the companies judges mostly on the basis of DS.

For starting any development project, u should follow various steps -

  1. Prepare the Requirement document and understand the requirement to the fullest.
  2. Find out what technologies will better suit your development.
  3. Train yourself and your team about these technologies
  4. Prepare High Level and Low Level Design Document
  5. Start development
  6. Get your code reviewed by other team members as there can be a better solution which we could not think of.
  7. Test the code at your end as if you are a tester and the client.

That's all from my end. Still a lot can be added or modified in this.

Itisha
