How I learned Python and Django

Published Jul 20, 2018

About me

Have been learning Python as you know that learning curve never ends, its like the universe you don't know how deep it is. You just keep on heading into the abyss more and more, and of course you want more and more.

Why I wanted to learn Python and Django

Python, sooner or later will overtake many other languages out there, many businesses that I have worked with may still use old language and tech products, doesn't mean they would be obsolete, it just means there is something better. For me myself I wanted to learn PY and Django because its not that complicated to learn.

How I approached learning Python and Django

The process for me was quite simple, although anyone can do this, there is so much available today compared to 20 years back, where you were definitely need to read a physical book. But nowadays you can look on the internet, and find valuable resources, courses, training events and more. Start perhaps buying a small or beginners course on Udemy or do a free coursera course that interest or opens your ability.

Challenges I faced

There are always hard blocks in anything you wish to know more about. Your brain is perhaps at times lazy to know and willing to understand, but I realized that you control your brain and not the other way around, as such it come obvious when I hit a road block I would take a break and come back to it, but won't give up, until I find a solution to the code.

Key takeaways

When learning or working lets say, you meet a lot of people who are involved with other technologies and sharing that information or relate ideas and how you could test it or develop something new, that is always exciting. Basically the more someone knows the more approachable they should be.

Tips and advice

Never give up. It can sometimes take time to understand but this doesn't mean you have to give up, keep moving daily until you have completed a course, or a book, or learnt something new on the internet. There are so many various skillsets needed out there, but I would say stick to a few, and master them.
