I have been working on a multiplayer game server using Node.JS for my project known as RpgLegend.com for the past 4 years. The server currently using horizontal scaling allowing several server nodes to connect to a single "hub node" to allow for scalable concurrent players. The server uses PostgreSQL to store character data, and uses sockets for real time chat and movement relaying. I have developed PHP custom data editors to edit game information for my online RPG: RpgLegend. I have been working on an retro 2D online RPG for the past 6 years known as RpgLegend which is built on top of the Starling Rendering Framework using AS3, AIR and Flash Builder. I have created my own Tiled map parser and render that can render any sized map by using object pooling and selective rendering. Over the past two years I have been tutoring a mid-level C# developer every day after work, helping her keep up with her job responsibilities, and help her debug, troubleshoot, and explain how to tackle objectives she would otherwise would not be able to fulfill. During this time I have taught her my critical thinking skills, showing her how to use google to solve any problem, and helping her "think like a computer" she likes to say. I have provided her with solutions on making Ajax powered dashboards, control panels, data controls, forms, and back-end applications using Jquery as the front-end. Additionally, we have worked with command line interface data parsers, converters, and utilities to help her organization merge data, calculate statistics, and convert between cvs, xml and json.
