Why I wanted to learn Deploying Kubernetes on IBM Cloud
I wanted to move away from AWS Beanstalk to IBM Cloud because of their fantastic startup offerings. Secondly containerizing my application and moving to kubernetes would allow the application to be cloud agnostic and give better control to me over the resources being used which is extremely varied in my stack.
How I approached learning Deploying Kubernetes on IBM Cloud
The best way to learn a tech is to start implementing it, as you implement you will learn all the nitty grity information required to complete the task. In the past I have tried to learn technologies "just" out of interest and failed many times, it would take me weeks and still not get it. When you actually feel the "need" of a new technology, the gotchas will then make sense to you and you can learn such technologies within days.
Challenges I faced
I faced many many challenges and as and when I find these challenges I would go ahead and research about my problem, look at the slack groups with experts who can help and most importantly document the problems faced.

Kubernetes is a great tool to learn, if you get it, it becomes so much easier to work with your applications and the more you work with it the easier it ges.
