Copy Genymotion Virtual Device from another computer
In this article, I would like to share my experience on copying an existing genymotion virtual device in Ubuntu 17.04 to MacOS X 10.11.6 El Capitan.
First of all, I have configured my destination OS with VirtualBox and its extensions pack installed. Then in my home folder at Ubuntu 17.04 (source OS), I navigated to .Genymobile/Genymotion/deployed/MyVirtualDeviceFolder (see below figure) and copied to USB flashdisk. Copying from deployed folder will keep all the data of the device intact. But if we just want to start fresh without redownload the device image file, we can copy the ova file from .Genymobile/Genymotion/ova.
And then I copied that folder to the same folder path at OS X El Capitan (see below).
Next, I opened "MyVirtualDeviceFolder" and double clicked the file with .vbox extension.
And then, Virtualbox added that virtual device and so did Genymotion virtual device manager (see below two figures). Finally I run the virtual device Android phone by clicking start button at Genymotion virtual device manager window.
Finally I successfully run genymotion device in another computer with data and app still intact.
