My career in building interfaces & platforms began in earnest at a science museum, where I learned designing & coding in the unforgiving environment of museum visitors & energetic children looking to learn & be actively engaged. Since then, I've participated in open source communities, in a sort of 'start-up incubator' and worked with early stage companies & non-profits to scale meaningful tools for their communities. I've taught web design in a college setting, and I'm here to help you be more successful, find troubling bugs, and just generally feel more empowered in getting software to do what you are trying to do in situation where you really need to publish and ship.

Through experience with museum exhibit design and iterative /design thinking for web and screen interfaces, I have a lot of experience mocking up designs and getting them user-tested, reworked for a variety of general audiences. As an experienced web professional, I've used Javascript for user interactions and DOM manipulation for over a decade. In the past 4-5 years, I have moved to using Javascript nearly exclusively for web apps, React applications, mapping applications, NodeJS and more. This year, I've taken on a more serious approach to understanding ES6 more deeply and theoretically, and can recommend solid approaches for anyone who feels a bit shakey in their understanding of Javascript.
