How and why I built Cab volume Recommendation App
About me
I am a machine learning enthusiast, with 2 year experience at HSBC in its Financial Crime Risk department, where I used to write algorithms to find patterns among the Money Launderers.
The problem I wanted to solve
I worked on a project dealing with the prediction analysis of availability of cabs in a particular time interval, at a particular location.The data was taken for NewYork city for one complete month.
What is Cab volume Recommendation App?
I developed a R shiny cab volume recommendation app for the a real time cab providing company that can tell the volume the cabs required to be available at a particular location in a particular time interval, making it easy for the business to optimise the availability of the cabs around the city.
Tech stack
The project comprised of intensive use of programming languages like R,SQL and predictive Modelling [Generalized Linear Models,RandomForest]. Apart from that, I also used Hadoop[Hive] to analyse Big Data.
