I worked as C# .Net developer for many years implementing and designing solutions for various customers. I am quite experienced in creating client-server architectures for e-commerce platforms and other real time web services. Relevant experience: Implemented a back-end with Web API with REST and C# for an online service that created customized items for users (like cards, books, etc). The challenge was to generate printable content on server side (pdfs) used iTextSharp and server side batch processing. Also completed an API for a home improving app, the server side which was implemented with .Net (C# and F# mostly for unit testing). the difficulties I encountered were to render 3D snapshots of the room since they were very CPU intensive. Apart from these also worked on windows forms applications with C# and Vb.Net: Financial tools, CMS, Stock management, etc.

Working with Kafka for a year now, time that I used to build cool stuff around it. At my workplace it is used as service bus, it helps maintaining a microservices architecture clean. Used the connectors, streams to sink/source data also process streams(merge, transform, etc). Spark is a tool I am using day to day to crunch data to transform big loads of data into meaningful things.

With Scala I worked only on back-end side and data processing. I have used it with Play Framework to implement various small modules, also used it with spray and akka for building microservices, currently I am using it also for data processing with Spark and Kafka. I adopted Scala as a language when I needed to move to JVM, since then is my weapon of choice for anything that involves big loads (http requests, data and stream processing) I used Haskell and Clojure for side projects mostly,
