Daniel Nogueira D'Aquino Fonseca

Originally self-taught at the age 11, starting with Javascript/Web, then majored in Robotics, moved to Python for Embedded systems testing with Motorola Solutions, and now Full-stack dev. I love to not give answers, but to help you reach the answers yourself, and inspire people to love software development!

I am an experienced and passionate software engineer with a long and eclectic experience. It's very nice to meet you!

I love to help colleagues and people around me with their programming and engineering questions. I will do my best to help you not only learn more about development, but to think critically, and to fall in love with building things!

I have experience with a variety of technologies and skills, ranging from Python to Pytest, QA methodologies, Javascript, Typescript, React, Swift, SwiftUI, Swift Vapor, and even some microcontrollers like Arduinos, MSP430s, as well as general embedding systems experience.

Quick facts and curiosities about me:

• Started learning programming by myself at the age of 11, mostly on web technologies, and kept learning almost every day ever since!
• Started a few failed startups
• Studied Mechatronics in college, where I learned a lot about robotics and embedded systems (microcontroller) programming and interfacing.
• Won Microsoft's Global AI Hackathon in 2017 along with my hackathon team.
• Worked at Motorola Solutions for 3 years as a Firmware Test Engineer, where I worked with various technologies like Python, Pytest, Networking technologies, web technologies, Image sensors and lenses, and many others, and achieved the status of Senior Firmware Test Engineer
• Currently working on a new startup

Having been both self-taught and a traditional student, having worked in a corporate environment and very small startups, I know the differences between each context, and can give you contextualized advice!
