Hired as contract software developer at Toptal focusing on modern JavaScript, mobile apps, server maintenance, and Java. Most recent projects have been React Native and iOS mobile applications. Before that I workeed on a rebuild of a Laravel application that included extensive custom Wordpress integration, as well as API integrations with InfusionSoft and Wishlist Member. Also migrated their system to an Amazon AWS hosting solution. Another recent project was a commuting optimization project for Sonos using Node.js, MongoDB, and the Google Maps service API. Also completed a project for a client, Abaris, creating a retirement calculator service and REST API using Java, Spring MVC, and Jersey. Previously worked extensively with PHP platforms such as Magento and Wordpress.

Took over development of their Magento e-Commerce website (PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript). Upon arrival, I created a TEST server and a development GIT branch to allow for a modern, professional workflow. I also created a new, completely custom sub-theme based on a new design for the site. I also moved their homepage code out of CMS into a custom-designed module to allow for templatization and source control, and overrode numerous blocks and templates to customize site behavior. During this time, I worked remotely, contract/hourly, communicating via email and phone and used Assembla to manage tickets and releases.

IT Systems Applications, Identity and Access Management: Java / Groovy development maintaining middleware that interfaces UT client systems with the central Oracle database. Also responsible for maintenance and stewardship of various Apache/Tomcat application servers, and for administration of the Identity and Access Management build server, including the Nexus repository, Jenkins/Hudson continuous integration server, Sonar code coverage tool, and Crucible code review tool.
