I love SQL. I've written PostgreSQL, mySQL, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, and SQL Server's T-SQL. I also love Data Build Tool(DBT) and Looker's LookML.
Challenges I'm most interested in right now include unifying data, optimizing queries and data marts for performance, building scalable and helpful data marts, being a detective to understand meanings, and data governance.
I believe in DRY, readable, and maintainable code.

Alison has been incredibly helpful in helping me acquire skills in Looker/LookML and SQL. I really struggled with trying to function after taking the Looker training online and suddenly needing to work within a codebase containing code created by much more experienced developers. Alison helps fill in the gaps between the training and real life, and doesn't just solve the problem I'm having but also helps me understand the troubleshooting process so that I can function better on future problems. She's also a really positive person which I appreciate so much when I've been struggling with the subject matter.
