I used to work with the Torch framework on Lua to learn deep image descriptors for a research internship. As time went on and I had to go back to deep learning for my PhD, I went for Pytorch for 3 years now and have used it in multiple projects including building custom architectures for personal curiosity as well as using the Transformers module for NLP.
The most interesting thing about Pytorch is its flexibility when defining an architecture as well as the eager execution characteristic that allows for fast debugging.

My adventure with web scraping started 7 years ago when a friend and I wanted to check whether sports betting could be arbitraged across betting platforms. The first (and last) step was to extract the odds in real time and compare them. The problem was that betting platforms would prevent from betting whenever such opportunities arose. Such a shame! Nevertheless, it introduced me to the wonderful world of task automation on the web and helped me a lot during the rest of my curriculum.
