The Problem: The clinical biofeedback field utilizes brain-computer interface (BCI) software. System company partners had focused on the researchers and clinicians who purchased the software, but they had forgotten that the clients receiving biofeedback training were the end users. Clinician software was advanced, with detailed data visualization, but client-facing software was a watered-down version of PacMan which did not meet user needs.
The Solution: We designed and shipped a suite of applications that allow clinicians to customize and personalize the training environment. Clinicians can now control both visual and auditory experiences, tailoring the therapy to improve their clients' ability to stay engaged without becoming overstimulated.
