A Curious Engineer that Constantly Gets it Wrong
I love to ask the why and how in my life to always get the bigger picture. Staying in your silo limits you to what can be accomplished by seeing the finish line. I know there's always a better way to do something, and you'll never do it better if you never do it first. I seldom settle for the way I've done it before instead of trying something new to struggle a bit but too learn so much more. I'm proud of all my failures and hardships as they've constructed me into the competent engineer I am today.

I've been working with grails for the last 3 years to leverage its power in creating restful backends for web apps written in angular or mobile apps for iOS and Android. I've utilized MySQL, MongoDB, and Postgresql engines for persistence layers respectively, to find the right fit and have finally settled happily with Postgresql! I love Grails 3 for bringing gradle into my life, as it's opened up my opportunities to utilize industry standard plugins, as well as its powerful gson.

I've been working with React Native since around it's first release. I've been through it's buggy days and seamless ones. I can't imagine ever going back to writing completely native apps with the amount of development velocity I have know and the support I get from using npm. It's really made programming a joy again, and it's component based design makes code reuse that much more elegant.
