I am an active contributing member in the TYPO3 comminuty since 2003. I am the host of the monthly Berlin TYPO3 User Group meetup and I am attending meetups, conferences and codesprints. TYPO3 is my main business since 2005, doing full-time consultation, project planning/steering and development including aspects of performance scaling, security review.

I am an early adopter of linux server (1996) and linux for daily desktop use (1998). Shell scripting and automation is the religion and ansible, vagrant, docker my tools to deliver continous delivery to customers.

I started in the 90s with linux from scratch, installed from a couple of floppy disks. I am operating internet servers on my own and for customers built upon Ansible automation. My servers range from Raspberry Pi to vServers, Cloud providers and serious bare metal. My range is from RedHat/Ubuntu LTS (bare metal) and Debian or Ubuntu (VMs / Container).

I am developing in PHP since the first php version php/fi, building my own framework and CMS with php3 / php4. Extended knowledge in extended language and OO features of php5 and security and performance aspects.

Since php2 MySQL was a reliable companion in my web development work. My knowledge range from setup / configuration, daily operation aspects (update, maintenance, backup, troubleshooting) to optimization (CPU, Memory, Cache, Indexing, Normalization).

I have extended knowledge to modell the database structure from customers view into a form that is future proof, extensible and performs well.
