I prototyped and developed a new system for high-speed ball tracking, which made its debut at the 2010/2011 Ashes Cricket series in Australia, broadcast on Channel 9 Australia, BSkyB and SkyNZ. Among many features, my system extended the maximum frame rate by almost double (from 120Hz to 230Hz), setting a new standard for international cricket, and introduced a new prediction algorithm based on fluid dynamics and physical modelling.
