Type: Twelve-month contract. Awards: Prometric Pride Team Achievement Award. * Mandated to add real-time credit card authorization to the existing scheduling software. I created a DLL using Clarion for Windows 4 that wrapped around WinInet.dll, as well as developing a minimal XML parser that allowed the scheduling software to communicate, using HTTP, with payment services in order to authorize a candidate's credit card information. [Clarion for Windows 4 and 5] * Analysis, modification and development on existing Sylvan Prometric registration software. With minimal specifications or documentation available, I was given modules that had been developed by prior programmers and mandated to locate problems and correct them. The most difficult piece of software that I was given was known as the SR Poller. Adjectives used by colleagues to describe this program included "beast". Anomalies were corrected and, as far as I know, the software is still running in production.
