Bootcamp Instructor, full stack Rails developer, very newbie friendly!

Hey all,

I'm the instructor for the Back-end Web Development course at General Assembly. I'm also a volunteer teaching assistant for RailsBridge and freelance full stack developer. I know what it's like to struggle with learning web development and I've taught many people facing those problems. As a result, I'm very familiar with common problems new developers face as well as development environment setup on Mac, Windows, and Linux.

I use git in my daily work, and periodically run git workshops for General Assembly. I go over all the basics a newbie needs to know to be proficient, and a little extra tricks. Namely, how to setup a new repository, commit changes, push, how to keep features separate with branches, how to revert or reset your working directory, and how to merge or rebase.

Jonathan is extremely helpful, he's fast, accurate and very knowledgeable in front-end related things. I love the way he explains all options and suggests the most convenient one for each specific case.
