Amazon Web Services - VPC and MySql database

<p><strong>Q: What was the request about? </strong><br>The application was not able to communicate with the MySQL DB instance launched in a VPC instance in&nbsp;RDS.<br><br><strong>Q: How did you help with the request?</strong><br>Validated that all the firewall settings were setup correctly, the DB was available via MySQL client, and after drilling down found the issue to be a spelling mistake in the name of the server within the connection string.<br><br><strong>Q: Any best practices &amp; key learnings you can share?</strong></p><p><strong>Start with the fundamentals and work your way up from there.</strong></p>
