About the talk
Machine Learning (ML) Engineers at Big-Tech Companies such as Meta, Alphabet, Microsoft, and Amazon are considered one of the most sought-after and prestigious jobs. In this talk, I will explain the role of an ML engineer at a big tech company and talk about what kind of projects we work on and some of the skills the are useful for the job and to pass the interview eg - training ML models, ML infra/deployment, data engineering, distributed systems. I'll give a brief overview of each skill with some examples of tasks/projects. I will also include some of the myths about getting a job in ML at big-tech and some tips on how to develop your skills and profile to enable that.

About the speaker

Anshul is a Staff ML Engineer at Sharechat working out of London, previously he worked on Ads Ranking at Meta. He graduated from IIT Kharagpur in 2014 with B.Tech/M.Tech in CSE. He co-founded Retention.ai which was acquired by Inshorts
