Top Senior Uicollectionview Developers - Dec 2017
iOS developer since 2009; App Store featured (twice) & Editor's Choice; open source contributor
I have been writing Objective-C (and now Swift) professionally since 2009. Before that, I contributed to Adium on the Mac. I currently work on Imgur for iOS. My professional career has always involved taking an existing codebase and building it up to be extensible and maintainable. I've mentored many junior developers through the years from just starting to moderately experienced. iOS is a very tactile experience, and building a good user experience is one of the most important things you can do. Using the right technologies — almost always UICollectionView for some reason — can make the job a lot easier when applied the right way.
Mobile Software Engineer. Expert in Ionic, iOS and Android
Freelance Software Engineer 5 years in. Worked on around 10 mobile applications, spread out between Native and Hybrid. Designed several backend APIs in the most optimized way possible
iOS developer, Swift compiler hacker, flamewar-starter
I work on the Swift compiler for fun. If you use Swift, you're running my code! I run an iOS development company. My clients include Fortune 500s, governments, and startups. I'm a hacker at heart and I like solving difficult technical challenges. I know my way around graph theory, compiler/interpreter internals, algorithm design, computer vision, project management, test design, and much more. Chances are, if you have a problem that can be solved by writing software, I can help.
Software Development Consultant
I've been doing software development consulting for over 20 years. More recently, I got in on iOS development before the official SDK was even available, over 8 years ago. I'm fluent in a number of programming languages, for client-side, server-side, and web development.
iOS Teaching Assistant at Coding Bootcamp
I've worked at a variety of startups in the past 5 years building iOS apps for medical purposes to marketing campaign apps for agencies such as Adidas and Lululemon. Working with designers, building user interface/experience and watching it come to life in an app is my favourite aspect of app development. I'm currently working as a teaching assistant at a coding bootcamp so hopefully I can provide some help to you remotely as well.
Software Developer at AccessMobile Inc.
Born in Africa in late 20th century, the era where computers were for the privileged, actually had a great impact on my life. I had been intrigued by computers at an early age but never had access to them until later in life after high school when I bought a computer of my own. Then came programming and software development which I very much, by "serendipity" stumbled upon. Today, I am a software engineer, because of the passion I have for computers and an unending curiosity towards learning new things. My passion is learning new technologies and exploring the mobile platform for new possibilities as well as making improvements where necessary. Special Skills: iOS development (Swift & Objective C), MEAN stack (MongoDB, ExpressJS, AngularJS, and NodeJS) and Ember JS for web development. Think twice, code once.
Freelance & Independent iOS Developer (5+ years experience, 6 major apps in App Store)
I have extensive experience working on my own iOS apps as well as those of employers and clients. You can find the apps I've worked on at https://www.erikstromlund.com I have worked on all shapes and sizes of apps, seen the upsides and downsides of various approaches, and currently work every day in Objective-C, Objective-C++, Swift 2.3 & 3, and Ruby. From working on my own app for 5 years, I know the ins and outs of developing for the Apple platform and the value in pragmatic solutions. From working for others, I have learned testing techniques (including TDD), architectures, and code maintenance. I pair programmed full-time for a year, so I am used to working with others on the same lines of code. If you need help with anything related to an iOS app, get in touch!
