Use the network tools to observe AJAX requests

Chrome, FireFox, and even the latest IE have developer tools to enable web developers to diagnose issues related to layout, javascript, and network calls.

The best way to observe the AJAX calls your page is sending out, open the developer tools for your respective browser and go to the Network tab. As your page makes requests, including AJAX calls, an entry in the network log will show up. You can then double click the entry and observe information about your AJAX call including the URL requested, the data sent, and the data received.
