Full Stack / Mobile Software Engineer
Daniel has been working in the technology area for nearly two decades and despite having played lots of different roles (developer, analyst, training instructor, project manager, and CTO) during those years, he has never left coding out of his life! He's always looking for something new to learn and a new challenge to tackle.
Software Engineer, Teacher, Explainer and De-Mystifier
Experienced Software architect and developer, helping to make complex apps easier to navigate
I am a senior software developer (full stack), mostly working in the web for the last 20 years (I started a bit before, but in and on and off basis). During the last years I've worked mostly in Ruby (Rails, Sinatra), which I enjoy. I am highly technical and pragmatic, but I believe I can communicate effectively with both technical and non technical management. I like to keep learning (a requirement for my job, in this always changing area) and incorporating new technologies and ideas in the software I produce. During the last years I've been the technical lead, and in the last 3 years the only Senior Engineer in my team, in a scientific organization connected with NASA. I am responsible of all the applications of my department and have certain freedom to choose the tools and approaches I consider the best for my job.
Python expert for Data Applications & Web Dev
I'm a Python and Java/Scala developer, with main focus on Big Data solutions and some full stack web dev experience. I will happily look at your code or system and point out bugs or suggest a better way to do something. Have experience with most popular Python libraries including pandas, matplotlib and numpy. If you want a great code review/refactoring of your Python code, from which you are going to learn and improve as a developer, I am the person to go to. If you have a data transformation that is taking ages, ask me for my help. I have been able to achieve speedups of up to 500x for people here, by using libraries such as pandas in an optimized way and being aware of memory usage patterns. I also am particularly well versed in geospatial data management and the open source project QGIS. I'm a big fan of clean, testable and tested code with a wow factor. I'm also striving for automating everything with the correct tools. I have also worked at Google. I love consulting people via codementor. So far I have walked people through building web apps in Python, solved tough bugs in complex systems and shared my expertise in designing data pipelines. I also have, among other things, helped parallelize code that analyzes DNA sequences, configured git servers and showed people how to get started with unit tests.
Software Engineer and Creative Thinker
Data Science Engineer at Rubikloud Technologies Inc.
Greetings!! This is Asif Iqbal. I am a software engineer based in Toronto, Canada. I am more than happy to help people with solving their coding problems, design issues, databases, interview preparation and providing with any other sort of programming tutorials. My strongest language is Java and SQL. However, recently I have also worked a bit with Python and in the past worked with other languages and tehnologies as well. In general, I am kind of technology agnostic and willing to pick up anything on demand. I have been absorbed in software development and design for the past few years, with an emphasis to back-end, data pipelines, server side development, databases, performance optimization and system analysis. Over the years, I have gained expertise in object oriented programming, design patterns, best practices, reverse engineering, code re-factoring, coding standards, security guidelines, performance tuning, writing high-performance and scalable code, query optimization, finding and fixing critical bugs in existing code-base, and of course, collaborating and working in harmony with other team members. Recently I have been growing interest in big data, data analytics and data management; and looking to pursue a career with an emphasis to these areas. My ideal goal would be to join a team in where I get to pursue a role that is somewhat in alignment with these stuffs, and get to develop in depth expertise in big data engineering by successfully contributing myself as well as collaborating with and gaining knowledge from my team-mates. I am always ready and open to switch to pursue and explore any new tools and technology stack that fits the needs. As for my academics, in 2011, I completed my master's in Software Engineering from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Back in 2008, I gained my Bachelor degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
