Top Senior Realm Developers - Dec 2017
UX focused Android applications developer
Starting as a hobby, I developed Android applications for the last few years. I worked on various types of projects, some starting from scratch or coming at later stages, some alone and others as part of a team. I'm friendly, communicates well, and is highly motivated.
Developer with over 15 years of professional experience in various technologies.
Developer with over 15 years experience building software in various industries, most recently focused on iOS apps and creative applications using Swift and C++. I have a strong computer science background with emphasis on software architecture and user interfaces. I have worked in aerospace (including a contract for NASA), telecommunications (Nokia), video games (Capcom, Ubisoft) and social-network startups. Most recently I am working on freelance projects and pursuing my interest in blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
Data science and research-centric software maker
When I first learned how to program, it was a exhilarating; it felt like discovering fire. A couple of months later I made a program that played the boardgame Clue and asked my family really nicely (I think) to play against it. Even though it lost, I was hooked. It's this project-centric approach that can still motivate me to learn new tools, or stay up late coding. Building things is fun. And I've always tried to follow my interests towards projects and tools that excite me. I spent time making computational models in several summer internships helped design and build a serious game that simulated molecular biology. I like sharing what I'm interested in, so teaching programming and tools comes naturally. I mentor courses in data science and Python and love talking shop.
Aspiring Software Architect, Problem solver, Android developer who loves taking on challenging tasks.
I spend my time providing technical solutions and advice within my team whilst building innovative android apps. I write and organize content/materials to help tech newbies get started with app development explaining key concepts and terminologies. I also contribute to open source projects occasionally. I work for Decemberlabs were we create apps for Startups. We are a team of Phd, former NASA engineers, researchers, developers and designers with a unique blend of technical and design skills. I have been working with mobile technologies since their inception and evolved with the rapid progress of iOS. I have a deep understanding of iOS inner working and have a complete expertise and control of the SDKs. I created the open source project AltBeacon used by many iOS developers around the globe and released far too many apps to the store. Besides Swift and Objective-C I also have experience in C++. Before doing apps, I did a doctorate in engineering in a top European University (Eindhoven University of Technology) and worked as a researcher at Embedded Systems Institute and Canon. I also coach other companies on iOS development.
iOS developer since 2009; App Store featured (twice) & Editor's Choice; open source contributor
I have been writing Objective-C (and now Swift) professionally since 2009. Before that, I contributed to Adium on the Mac. I currently work on Imgur for iOS. My professional career has always involved taking an existing codebase and building it up to be extensible and maintainable. I've mentored many junior developers through the years from just starting to moderately experienced. iOS is a very tactile experience, and building a good user experience is one of the most important things you can do. Using the right technologies — almost always UICollectionView for some reason — can make the job a lot easier when applied the right way.
