Top Networking Developers of July 2017
Polyglot developer with an obsession for modularity
I'm a self taught developer, and ever since my first job, given enough time at a workplace I've always become the guy who people go to when they're stuck, and I've enjoyed doing the same on various online communities. I've always found those interactions very rewarding, I find it much easier to apply myself in a focused way to helping other people solve their problems. I really believe in the "teach a man to fish" cliche. If you are a student or need help working on open source, I offer a 50% rate reduction. Note that I will not solve exercises/assignments for you, I am only willing to help you to solve them yourself. Finally, I suggest you check out this great write up by Adam Goldman, another mentor on this site, which has some great tips on how better utilize this service https://www.codementor.io/adamgold/get-the-most-out-of-your-session-5c5iho6ns
Independent iOS Developer and Teacher
I'm a seasoned iOS developer with a passion for sharing what I've learned and having fun while we do it. My broad knowledge of every aspect of iOS development, from architecting to coding to testing, to debugging to deploying and improving, is going to help you push your knowledge forward, solve your problems and exceed the expectations of those around you. I value providing clear, straightforward advice on both how to solve the problem and how to structure your code for maintainability and best practices.
CTO & Chief Hacker @ ConceptSauce ltd, consultant, poet and author
30+ years systems design and devops, tech lead on many startups. Consultant — introducing and using Docker workflows from dev to deployment, systems automation, lean workflows. Currently developing solutions in nodejs, golang (go), front-end, reactjs, ES6. "Whatever the job takes" would be a good motto I guess. Hardware, software, systems design, deployment strategies , linux admin, strategic planning and evaluation, even the odd bit of graphics and making the coffee when needed. Have to admit I'm no good at the coffee part - it's just not my cup of tea :) Have a specific need please ask, 30+ years covers a lot more ground than I put in here. Past clients include: Chaumet jewellers, Atari, Activision, Nomura, Guardian Royal Exchange Assurance, AA, RAC, Pioneer Concrete, MOD, NHS, Incentive Group Of Companies, Apuestas Limited, various foreign government bodies, startups along with many private business across the world.
Lover of great design, venturing in startups and trying to build a better world with smiles =)
My first passion is startups followed by UI and UX. Startups is a great way to achieve your dream faster and easier, so I really encourage you to join this community. I am here to help you with the first steps. I help people built their dream in great iOS app design and code. Also, I am a huge fan of design patterns and object oriented programming, so better than coding is coding with pattern. As Jackson Brown one day said "The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today.", so make yourself better today to be ready tomorrow, I'm here to help you.
Technical Architect, Software Engineer/Developer, and a Roboticist with passion for Knowledge Flow
Results-oriented software problem solver
I love solving problems. My favorite thing is making somebody's life easier, and there's no such thing as something I'm not willing to tackle (hence the unfortunate WinForms experience). I believe success can only be judged by the end result.
Developer with a passion for testable, performant, and clean code
First of all, I go by KZ so you don't have to hurt your tongue trying to pronounce my name :) I mostly work on the JVM in Java and Android (and recently Kotlin which is by far my favorite!!!) I have a strong theoretical background as well as almost a decade of practical experience. I love learning as much about a topic as I can so I consider myself an expert in the areas I invest my time into (JVM memory model, concurrency, object layouts, etc.). I practice Test Driven Development wherever practical and am a disciplined debugger (I once spent a better part of the day tracking down what turned out to be an equals/hashCode mismatch in legacy code). I'm also extremely passionate about language design and attempt to evangelize new constructs to whomever will listen :) I look forward to working with you.
iOS / Full-stack / Database developer with lots of Linux and Security knowledge
Test-driven developer, data scientist and engineer
Developer by day, programmer by night. I obtained a master of science in civil engineering (computer science) and participated - together with several teams - in programming contests and hackathlons. I answer questions on StackOverflow on a daily basis and wrote courses on Artificial Intelligence and Digital Electronics. I worked as a researcher in the field of hyperheuristics (artificial intelligence), a teaching assistant in computer science and as a data scientist and technical lead developer in an AI startup. During my spare time I developed small (and larger) projects to help with daily routine. For me, a computer should aim to automate everything that is boring, such that one can pay more attention to what is interesting in life.
I'm a self-taught programmer that has been fortunate enough to work on very interesting projects with amazing people. I've been at it for over a decade and plan on continuing to write software until my fingers dry up! Programming is one of the most empowering, intellectually stimulating, and fun professions in the world. I'm here to help folks who are in the early stages of their career; I wish this existed when I was learning!
