My journey as an iOS developer and product marketer

About me:

I'm a product marketer who picked up the Swift language roughly four years ago. The last few years have been spent building iOS applications for clients and helping them market to their target customers.

Why I learned Swift as a marketing major in college

I taught myself Swift in college while pursuing a marketing degree, because I had an idea for an application and wanted to be able to bring my idea to life. I figured, if I knew how to market the app, why not also know how to build it? After a few months, I fell in love with it and kept pursuing my newfound passion on the side.

People saw my applications and asked if I could build it for them and help them market it since they knew very little about how to do either. I quickly learned the benefits of being a developer with a marketing background. I was able to build applications with the end user in mind. As I progressed through the app, I'd also come up with ideas on how each feature could improve the marketing strategy.

The journey

Having the marketing background and technical knowledge has allowed me to work with a diverse group of people within the startup community. It's afforded me the privilege of helping to bring my clients' ideas to life and putting their application in the hands of real users. I look forward to working with you on your next project!
