Specialties: • iPhone/iPad/iOS Development • Product Management & Development • Lean Startup • Entrepreneurship Would you like to see the list of applications I have worked on that are in the App Store? Check out my TapFame profile: https://tapfame.com/matthew-knippen/ With a strong background in Objective-C, iOS Applications and Apple products, I keep my primary focus on developing applications for the iPhone and iPad. I am able to promote what I am doing well with a large amount of sales experience. Having both the tech side and the sales side is not a common trait. I am the type of person that if I do not know the answer to a question, I know how to find it. I am constantly expanding my knowledge base in every possible direction, and in the process becoming more of a valuable resource. I am also a very hard worker, and ready to handle whatever is thrown at me.
For over 4 years I've been working as an iOS Developer. Over those years I've been working on developing an iPhone and iPad applications with different set of functionality for various clients including banks, startups and individuals. I've been developing and supporting applications in both Objective-C and Swift. I have also used Xamarin (C#) for iOS/Android application development. I have experience in creating a back-end for applications using BaaS: CloudKit and AWS Mobile Hub. Lately I've been creating a back-end using IBM-Kitura framework if approved by a client. I'm familiar with integrating various 3rd party SDKs. In short my skill include, but not limited to: - Swift/Objective-C - Analytics (Crashlytics, Google Analytics, AppsFlyer) - Server communication (REST, JSON, XML, Protobuf) - 3rd party SDK integration (GoogleMaps, Facebook) - Databases (Realm, SQLite, CoreData) - Location based applications - Custom views and animations
I have been a developer for over 25 years and have been a mobile developer for close to 8 of those years. During that time, I've developed over 80 iOS apps, around 10 macOS apps, and a few Android apps too - some were personal apps while close to half of that were apps for various clients. I’ve also been a technical editor, final pass editor, and finally, for a brief period, the editor-in-chief at raywenderlich.com, the popular online site devoted to mobile and game development. I did a lot of work on their tutorials and so know a little bit about helping people to understand a topic :) I try to help people understand developing for a given language and try to show you why you should do something a certain way. Along the way, I also try to provide little tips and tricks which make your work in a particular development environment (like Xcode) much easier. And I have no problems at all with questions - the more questions you have, the more you'll learn and I'll answer any (and every) question you may have! I also tend to be very good at debugging code issues - even if the issue is in code written by others. I can dive into somebody else's code and quickly find the root cause of a bug. So, if you are stuck on a bug which has stumped you for several hours, I believe I can help. Since I'm just starting on CodeMentor, I have set my rate at a value considerably lower than my normal rate as a developer. I believe this is the best way to get started since you don't know what I'm capable of and I have no idea what you expect. But I hope you'll see the value of my contributions as we work together :)

CodementorX saved me a lot of time by sending a shortlist of qualified developers within 72 hours. On top of that, payment through CodementorX was secure and communication was easy. I was extremely satisfied with the engagement!
As a marketplace and 500 Startups company ourselves, we were happy to give CodementorX’s platform a go when we needed developers with specialized skillsets. They did not disappoint and allowed us to find qualified devs painlessly.
Besides having access to highly talented and experienced web developers, CodementorX's project management service also help manage timeliness and bridge communication between the founders and the web developers. This is extremely helpful and valuable, especially for non-technical founders like myself.
CodementorX is a freelance hiring platform uniquely different from other platforms. Freelancers on Codementor function as mentors to less experienced coders, who collectively help curate a list of the most elite mentors. When hiring through CodementorX, I know I’m hiring the best.
