Client wants to build an iPad app to educate consumers in an entertaining way about different risks of extreme weather, how they can protect their homes and what kind of insurance is available for each risk.
How: Showing a 3d AR model of a house being affected by different hazards, then showing the preventative measure that can be taken, then explaining what kind of insurance coverage would protect that loss.
Designs will be provided by the client's team.
Flood - 3 scenarios - overland flooding (Flood coming over ground and running in to your home through windows and doors) ,sewer backup(flood water coming up through your basement drain) and infiltration (seepage through the walls)
The approach of doing a cutaway view of a house was effective for illustrating hazards and solutions.
Fire - show a home close to a forest catching on fire. Preventative measures include having asphalt vs. cedar shingles, clearing back deadfall from your property
Wind - show a home with a large tree next to it, wind storm starts, tree falls on to house. Prevantative measures include regular pruning of trees.
