Client has been developing a geo-location based business directory website which developed through Themeforest's Listable theme. A good portion of the site is still quite functional, but there are aspects of the site that are missing, and features that we would like to import.
The majority of the requests is Google Map related, someone with experience with geolocation, mapping, and custom Google Maps may be required. Other additional features would include taking adding some custom page designs based on my PSDs. And the implementation of some Analytics in the back-end.
Display City based on X results - Currently I am inputting data in my hand it is very time consuming and can get difficult to organize the information. What I want to do is setup a code that says if a certain Location ie: City or neighbourhood has 10 or more amenities for that locations show the results. If it has less than 10 then hide it until it has 10 search results. This will help me organize the results and will be easier for me to see which areas I need to work on adding more information.
User Login vs. Store Login - As of current the sign up ability is meant for store owners who want to add their own store, or they have the option to claim a store. I want to relocate that to another page only for store owners. I want a "user" login setup for the users of the site who will use the site to locate amenities around them, save results, and gain access to discounts that are being offered to them in their area by the store owners.
Custom Map Build - In the meeting I mentioned that I am using Google Map's API and Google Places to determine the user's geolocation and to determine their "sub-locality" which is another word for neighbourhood. Unfortunately because I am reliant on Google they may have different naming conventions, and not all the neighbourhoods added to their map leaving holes in my map or users getting results for the entire town instead. I would like to see if I could still utilize the Geo-Location option and use my own map, determine my own neighbourhood boundaries. Basically building a custom .KML file to determine the users location, and amenities near them based on my database.
Add new designs into current template pages based on my PSDs about 5 pages.
I would like to setup a back-end analytical system that lets me know what the user is searching for and in which location based on their geolocation. And if they successfully got results, if they didn't this way I would be able to know what information to put into my database next.
