Full-Stack CEO, Lean Startup Consultant, Super Genius, Force of Nature
A leader. A brother. (Possibly) Your secret lover. Also referred to as “Who was *that*?” or “What just happened here?”, Justice Gray is what would happen if a professional wrestler and a computer scientist had a baby, that baby married a hurricane and they had a child named Justice. He is passionate about Lean Startup principles and ideals, and Agile like a vast, predatory bird. Most importantly, he is a builder who loves to build: building applications, building teams, building businesses and building dreams. When he's not saving the world one company at a time, he can be found espousing his thoughts either on LinkedIn or at whoisjusticegray.com. Note: If you are looking for a much less prohibitively expensive - but possibly more talented and equally handsome - resource to singlehandedly rescue your company through charm and brilliance, Vancouver's Kevin Dhami (https://www.linkedin.com/in/kevindhami) comes highly recommended from yours truly. Look at that; even just *reading this summary alone* has saved you time and money!
I'm an Entrepreneur. My goal is always to be a recognized as an expert in the fields of software engineering, enterprise architecture, and IT management I like new technologies because I believe that nowadays, the IT enables companies to innovate and transform their businesses, not just serve as IT services. On the other hand, I also like to meet and understand older technologies. I am able to independently seek information needed for problem-solving and apply it in practice. In what I do day to day I do not see a job but a lifestyle. I believe that in this way I do bring value to the business. I have vision on things I do because I always think about the future of my projects, and what changes may happen to them. I quickly find a common language with people. I know endure stressful situations and keep calm in emergency situations. I can quickly analyze situations and take necessary decisions, always assuming the responsibilities of the consequences.
Being a software developer is more than just learning to program in a computer language. I have been a developer for nearly two decades. I have designed several larger web sites from concept to deployment, some high-profile projects. I have served as a Lead Developer or Senior Developer for many years, mentoring other developers and encouraging them to use the latest technologies and best practices. I focus on teaching patterns and reusable methods for designing applications, and reinforcing the need to stay current as new technologies are released. I can give advice on how to focus your learning efforts to target specific types of development positions, and interviewing advice for finding a position within a software company. I have programmed in C++ for about 10 years prior to using C# and focused on web technologies, which I have now been doing for another 10 years. While I have primarily been using jQuery / Microsoft .NET / C# and have a background in C++, I have also utilized VB and VB.NET, touched on PHP/MySQL from time to time, and worked with the Microsoft SQL Server/Express/CE products for 10+ years. One of my most recent projects has been building a Unity 3D game, which is now on Steam Greenlight. Domain Driven Design is a basis for each of my projects' structure, and I reinforce the need to use best practices when coding. I can also explain SCRUM, which is used by many companies for handling team project management. If your final senior project is a "Concept to POC" type of project where the Proof of Concept is the working software required for a grade, then I will also teach you to use Balsamiq to wireframe your ideas before we begin developing any code. I can help you document the Project Scope, Functional Specs, create Design Documents, and build the presentation for your senior college project. We can build completely usable projects in a short time, both the user interface and the server components as needed. My focuses are HTML5 / CSS3, jQuery, Object Relational Mapping (ORM), C#, Microsoft .NET, Web Services (web api) and SQL Express.
I can help you with .NET, Android, Web, iOS, C and Azure.
I work has a solution architect, and have been training in one form or the other for the last 5 years. I am good at teaching those who are completely new to a particular topic. For instance, lets say you have been a web forms (dot net) developer all this while. However, you have been advised that you will be working on dot net MVC from the next project. In situations like that, where you are learning something entirely new but still wish to harness what you already know, I am the guy for you. Another instance would be, you are really now starting your journey into the wonderful but terrifying world of development (it could be android, web, iOS or Azure) and you want someone to ease you into this. Well, I am that trainer. I am patient, i can be wonderfully funny, use all sorts of dramatic examples and generally keep things excited. Full-Stack | Championing Innovation
I have accumulated 3 years and 10 years of experience in enterprise and freelance respectively. At the beginning of any project, my end goal is to build robust applications with error-handling and tolerance in mind. After more than 10 years in this industry, it is people's challenging and innovative ideas that sustains my passion. Trust is the most expensive currency today and I continue to create that by providing honest suggestions especially when it comes to my role in your project. Equipped with rich experience in React, Angular, Aurelia for front-end and NodeJS, MVC, ExpressJS for back-end, I am not in favor of one over another. I strongly believe the best language is the one that's most suitable for each project.
