Software Engineer and Developer
Brazilian Software Developer from Minas Gerais "Uai!". Works professionally with software development since 2009. Passionate about technology and entrepreneurship. Tries every day to learn new knowledge and perfect those that already have. The most motivating thought is the thirst for solving problems and helping others. The world isn't perfect, and neither am I (perfection never pleased me at all), I believe much more in: solving the problem and then improving its solution than finding the perfect solution (which may never exist). Loves being with wife, relatives and friends and I value friendships above all else. Believes that teamwork is a fundamental tool for achieving goals, whatever they are. By having this way of thinking, I've always worked in companies that value these qualities and I'll be eternally grateful to them for the beautiful life experience they've given to me. Tries to make the most of everyday situations, whether they are, good or bad (you never know how much a new life experience can bring you knowledge). Loves software development and since that started doing this (2006) never stopped (and maybe never stop). That's why my professional focus is in that area. I consider my personal abilities to be empathy, charisma, curiosity, patience and persistence. The technical skills include software development, agile software development methodology, TDD and a polyglot programmer.
Image analysis specialist working in the Biophysical sciences at a leading UK university.
Having trained in the physical sciences at Imperial College, London, I have strong background in physical simulation and numerical techniques. My formal training includes C++ for numerical simulation, and has since expanded to include Matlab, Python, and more recently JS (Node.js) for a wide range of applications and domains. Most of my academic projects have required elements of image and data analysis, UX, and data visualisation.
Test-driven, backend focused with solid Computer Science fundamentals software engineer and entrepreneur who helps startups create lovable apps
I spend my time working with startups as passionate as I am about building interesting products. I help distill a vision, wrap it in a memorable user experience, get it to market, and learn from it. I am a big fan of rapid iteration and hypothesis testing, and bring an intense desire for lovable interactions and a laser-sharp focus on measurement to every project. I'm working in one of the top tier software product companies as a Senior Software Development Engineer writing scalable (billion users using our products and services) softwares, services and APIs.
Full Stack Software Engineer
I am a full stack software engineer who has worked on all areas of the technology stack using a variety of tools and languages. On a given day, I could be building a natural language data pipeline, architecting a series of microservices, or building a beautiful, intuitive single-page application. I am passionate about software engineering - it is incredibly rewarding to see ideas turn into software that improves our customer's lives, and it is exciting to be a part of teams that develops such software daily. When I am not programming, I enjoy coaching college debate, visiting art museums, or blogging about technology.
Ph.D Research Scholar in Data, Analytics & Cognition | Former Technical Lead at 99X Technology
I am pursuing my doctoral studies in Data Analytics & Cognition at the La Trobe University Business School. Prior, I was a software craftsman, technical lead, technology geek and the award winner as Industry Leader in Technology Category by SLASSCOM, the apex body for IT Industry in Sri Lanka in year 2016. I do best what I love most, coding and mentoring.
Python, Machine Learning, Data Engineering
I use mathematics and machine learning to analyze & explain data. When the machine doesn't learn, I do it the old-fashioned way: I use my brain and do my own learning instead. I've been working as a software engineer for the last 5-6 years. I consider my skillset to lie somewhere in the intersection between software engineering , data engineering and data science (machine learning) (that is to say, in other words front-end is not my thing). I've worked with all the cool Python libraries through the whole "data lifecycle": crawling data, queuing systems, db management, training ML models, API design and deployment management (Ansible mainly) Libraries include: Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, matplotlib, Flask, python-rq, celery, requests (of course), selenium and many more. I do consider myself to a major extent a data engineer as well. I've managed mainly Hadoop clusters, MongoDB and ElasticSearch ones. Occasionally I teach corporate seminars on such topics. I'm also a huge fun of Redis and I always try to fit it in my architecture if I think it can help (it almost always can). I've also research experience on such topics and a couple of publications as well. You may have a look here http://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=2627773 and http://ceur-ws.org/Vol-1558/paper38.pdf I have consulted many international companies in the areas of predictive analytics, market analysis and marketing budget allocation, mainly in the telecoms and retail industry. Occasionally, I also teach corporate courses & seminars on software engineering, data analysis and big data systems engineering.
