Top Senior Cmake Developers - Oct 2017

Started programming at age 12 in 1988 on a Commodore VIC-20. Worked in multiple industries developing various types of software. Decades of experience.

I write, nurture and love clean, testable architectures. Language doesn't matter. I eat two technology stacks and a Linux meal a day.

I write, nurture and love clean, testable architectures. Language doesn't matter (PHP/C/Rust/Golang/Typescript/Python/Java). I eat two technology stacks and a Linux meal a day. How is that possible? After 15 years of programming, you start to not be in love with your toys anymore like a kid, and treat them as tools instead. What starts to matter after reaching a certain level is expressing ideas with code, not the code itself. It's the ideas that you share with your collegues, as well with the machine, that solve real-world problems that matter. Tools are just that, and in our area of expertise, they change over time quite rapidly. What stays relatively constant are the terminology, the algorithms, and the train of thoughts for solving a specific problem, given a specific scenario.

A problem breaker

👨🏼 Ian Byrd 📚 BA Computer Science and Applied Math 🏆 Google Code-in Grand Prize Winner (2012, 2014) 🔨 С++ / Python / Go / JavaScript 💽 I'm Ian, a generalist engineer with primary expertise in backend engineer and cross-platform software development. I currently major in Computer Science and Applied Math. When it comes down to coding, my weapons of choice are primarily C++, Python, JavaScript and Go. My spectrum does not limit to these, but they are the ones I'm most likely to help you out with. I don't believe in doing things halfway. I truly believe that one must never run any code they don't have an idea of. That's why I'm here: I want to make sure struggling folks don't waste their precious time going through various challenging and sometimes just plain ridiculous issues. Someday I'll write a book about it. Back in the school days I did lots of competitive programming and engineering. My achievements list includes Google Code-in Grand Prize Winner title (2012, 2014). You can take look at my existing open source contributions at GitHub:

Knowledge Engineer

I am a long-time open-source contributor and Linux enthusiast. In the past I spent most of my time staring at a black screen with green text scrolling endlessly for hours and days. I am now fully invested in semantic technologies and this thing called symbolic artificial intelligence (which is basically traditional AI). While I am inclined on scientific research, nothing gives me more satisfaction than leading a technology product from inception to production, more so if that product exploits bleeding-edge technology.

Senior software engineer

I am a software engineer with over 15 years of experience in a wide variety of business applications. I have extensive hands-on experience in software design, architecture, implementation and integration.

Senior Software Engineer at Google

Senior Software Engineer at Google Inc. in Search working on the backend serving infrastructure for Knowledge Graph, a massive database of millions of real-world things and billions of connections between them, which is used to power "cards" that summarize information about those things (such as when searching for famous books, movies,TV shows, music albums, celebrities, politicians, places, etc.). In addition to working at Google during the day, I also moonlight as a tutor and mentor. Answering programming questions is a passion of mine, as can be seen from my StackOverflow profile (where I am in the top 0.3% by reputation)

CEO at LoopPerfect

CEO of LoopPerfect, mathematician, freelance software architect & polyglot programmer. I help companies scale, create value with opensource technologies and solve interdisciplinary problems. Currently, i'm building a C++JIT-Compiler to streamline iterative development processes by eliminating the need of recompilation. More information at: opensource projects: c++ projects: variadic template library: pythonic lazy ranges library: functional mixin library:

Junior Software Developer

Loves making android apps and all-around fundamental knowledge of various data structures and algorithms.

As a marketplace and 500 Startups company ourselves, we were happy to give CodementorX’s platform a go when we needed developers with specialized skillsets. They did not disappoint and allowed us to find qualified devs painlessly.

Itamar Yunger
Founder of Soundbetter

Besides having access to highly talented and experienced web developers, CodementorX's project management service also help manage timeliness and bridge communication between the founders and the web developers. This is extremely helpful and valuable, especially for non-technical founders like myself.

Jodie Lee
Founder of PerfectSpot

CodementorX is a freelance hiring platform uniquely different from other platforms. Freelancers on Codementor function as mentors to less experienced coders, who collectively help curate a list of the most elite mentors. When hiring through CodementorX, I know I’m hiring the best.
