Experienced full-stack engineer, functional programming aficionado, musician, & meditator

I have been a student of functional programming for a few years, and a co-worker recently introduced me to the wonders of Clojure, which is now my favorite language. I am by no means an expert but I can help a fellow beginner with the basics.

React Expert - Clojure Hacker - OSS Contributor

I've recently started using Clojure professionally, taking it from a hobby tool to a power tool. There's a lot to learn in Clojure, and I love teaching people about all of it's new and exciting concepts: Functional Programming, Immutable Data, Transducers, Generative Testing, Specs, and so much more.

Programming Language Polyglot, Long-time mentor

I am one of those rare programmers who had the chance to use Clojure in production. I wrote and maintained a backend service that scheduled long-running jobs, monitored servers and managed autoscaling into the cloud. I have experience with Ring, Compojure, Hiccup (for web development), and I also used ClojureScript + Reagent (a React.js wrapper) for a small side project.

Senior full stack engineer and architect

I've built Leiningen and Vim plugins, a web application framework, and static analysis engines on top of the typical web application developer work you'd expect. I've also spent a lot of time exploring the JVM Clojure compiler, as I worked on writing an equivalent for Go. Lastly, I wrote the book Learning ClojureScript (Packt Pub 2016, available on Amazon).

Web Startup Tech Lead - Full Stack Help - Tips & Tricks to Share!

As a long-time lisp programmer, and with many years of experience on the JVM platform, I got very excited about Clojure when it launched. I've been building a complex sports data analytics website in Clojure, am a maintainer of several clojure libraries, and have contributed back to a number of tooling projects, helping to make Clojure developers' lives easier. My primary strength in the Clojure context is a deep understanding of the functional programming mindset, and how it informs application design.

Self Employed JVM Developer; Mathematician; Fanatic Clojurian.

One of Java's greatest strength's (in my opinion) is it's strong Typing system. This is ultimately what gives the JVM all of it's modern day speed. But sometimes I'd rather just get to writing a program, see that it works, and move on as opposed to spending hours and hours on end building a complicated object hierarchy/abstraction. Sometimes it's just not necessary. This is why I picked up Clojure. My work often leaves me bouncing between the OSI Layers and Java has proven it's worth as usable at every level but as stated, sometimes it's just too slow to develop in. Clojure's Functional style, dynamic typing, and software transaction memory system mean that I can very quickly and succinctly produce code that is equivalent to it's Java counter part, and the best part is that because Clo...

I haven't used Clojure in a professional environment but I love functional programming language and especially Clojure. Since I don't like writing Java code, I think that Clojure is a good alternative when I need to build a component that can be executed in the JVM.

Prototyping Expert

I have over seven years of experience in bringing new ideas to life, and quickly iterating to find the real value behind the idea. I've built MVPs for apps and websites, test projects for bringing in (or bringing in newer and better) machine learning to existing products, and refactored or rewritten apps whose development has stalled to bring them back up to the point where rapid development can resume.
